5th gen purchasing question for exhaust

am going to be buying a Megan racing OE-RS catback exhaust and was wondering if anyone knew how how reliable Jdmhub.com was compared to raceinspired.com. both have the same product, expect with jdmhub, the price is dramatically lower then at raceinspired. I got my cold air intake from race inspired because after looking around they had the best price. Now with this exhaust jdmhub has a better price but just want to know if anyone has ever purchased anything from them.

thanks yea finally someone responded hah, did u set up ur megan catback urself? i would like to do it myself but feel that since i dont have much experience with modifications except only installing my intake that there might be alot of drone and fitment, dunno exactly wat those terms mean but thats my only concern if i install it myself

Drone is a loud deep sound that can be annoying. With the Megan it is not THAT bad but it is there between 2k-2.5k rpm.

Fitment is making the piece FIT where it is suppose to go. This always has the potential of being an issue with aftermarket parts. My Megan does have fitmenr issues but I nearly eliminate all vibration with a couple universal 2.5" exhaust hangers.

Replace a catback is seriously just taking a ratchet/breaker bar (a much longer ratchet) and undoing bolts and then putting the pieces back together again. The hard part is dealing with rusty bolts and parts that, after 10+ years, are stubborn to budge.

Ooo and the drone has nothing to do with your install ability. It is simply the nature of the beast.

That's where spraying all the bolts ahead of time with some Yield or PB Blaster and letting them soak will greatly aid in breaking them loose. Always works for me, even on old exhaust manifolds.

Definitively wanna do this! yes i did mine myself and its really not that hard. only thing is make sure you jack the car high enough or if you can get access to a lift. only problem i really had was with one of the pipes its angled back and its a tricky spot to get it in . any make sure you put your gaskets in.

Yes, pretty much all of them have a drone zone, and install a Catback pretty easy as long as you got some tools, shouldn't take more than a hour and a half when if its your first time replacing it....Good Luck....

thanks guys really appreciate the feedback, i read before some ppl take a torch to the bolts, idk if that was to make sure there was no rattling or just to losin them up but wat would be the need for a torch to begin with?

To expand the metal and break the rust bond so that the bolts might be removed without breaking the stud and subsequently requiring it to be drilled out. Avoids potentially unnecessary additional work.
