Can somebody give me the link to make my 02 max short shifter.

That link is for a short throw shifter. That means the throw is shorter...not the shifter. The only way I know to get a shorter shifter for 02/03 is cutting and welding and what not. There is a thread I believe.

 

You should do this first, because the shorter throws are what really matter, plus if you shorten the physical shifter, there is less leverage for those long throws.
