eBay roof spoiler etc

Has anyone on here been brave enough to purchase this little kit? Is it the size of Ionics full or the half size roof spoiler? Says that 8 persons bought it....any of those 8 on this forum?

You gotta have a lot of faith in that double sided sticky tape. Me personally - NO.

Just a FYI...for $10 more, you can order an Ionics one and know exactly what you're getting.

almost all cars use 3M double sided tape for stock trim. The door bumpers on your Maxima: 3M tape. The stuff lasts forever and is designed to withstand water, heat, wind, and pretty much anything else you can think of.

chances are it was due to your error. either not cleaning the spoiler well enough on its mating surface or not cleaning your window moulding well enough. i would recommend using lacquer thinner or some strong solvent, then if youre really sketched out by it, buy some adhesion promoter and use that on the surfaces as well. after 10 mins of flash time youre good to go. i even trust my CF one with just 3m tape. the thing would break into pieces before it comes off my roof.

3M tape, when used correctly (it's all about the prep) will outlast what it's holding in place.

put a little heat on that 3m tape and its even easier to set. I used to work in a body shop that did kits and stuff and we put that **** on everything.

Tru, i thought about that too. But... curiosity kills sometimes, and this kit comes with rain visors too. That's whats different.

^^ok....i was wrong as someone pointed out, its just the rear roof spoiler and nothing else. So for $10 more, i'd surely rather get from Ionic. Wonder who though have gotten these though so we can see what the quality really is.^^

I knew i saw a kit with rain guards and was confusing it with the one i posted. I would love to see the quality of those and see if its full or half roof spoiler.

I used Butyll tape on my Iconic Roof Spoiler. Not 3m. Butyll tape is the stuff used to seal headlights and windows and stuff. Its super sticky but comes off no problem when you pull at it.

Kept my spoiler on through winter, summer and driving 100 miles at 70mph every weekend.

^^I just have a feeling it will be a nice peice and possibly different than the ionic. If its a half size or look even more lower than ionics, i think it'll sell.^^

I hope so too. But I'm having a hard time being optimistic about it. You want a half size roof spoiler, AND rain guards for $55 shipped? That's stupid cheap. Ionics is cheap as it is.... I hope the quality is there. If you buy it, you're gonna have to do a detailed review with good pics of course.

Tried contacting the seller to no avail. However, i will get as much detail as possible, make a decision, and let the org know the quality and of-coarse pics to see just how nice or ****ty it will actually look.
