Confused??? Making a SRI

Upon looking at numerous and numerous of others setups I can't seem to see where anyone has placed there IAT sensor(the one located in the stock snorkel.) Is it necessary to have the sensor for a SRI setup?

Btw its a 2001 maxima, and looking to use a injen elbow+maf+cone filter

not that it matters because mines isnt connected but if you buy the maf adapter from advance auto or pep boys they have one you can plug it into the maf adapter, you will probebly hae to drill it to match the holes on ur MAF housing but it works like a charm when u do

yup I have that adaptor. Fits in snug though nod rilling necessary. Before I figured out it might be able to fit in there I just had it taped to the engine bay as close to the filter element as possible if you would rather do that
