Very curious about my oil

Okay so is it just me or do all 5th gens burn a lot of oil?! Just curious save the flaming guys lol just really curious. Thanks

Mine doesn't.

Problem didn't occur until 02-03 model year (VQ35). 00-01's are exempt from this problem, or are very very very rare.

As far as 02-03's, some do, and some don't.

yep, my 01 burns nothing-188k
my 02 burns about a quart per change - 157k

Wow I have a 03 an I noticed mines does seem to burn, just picked up a Lucas oil stabilizer, gonna try it with my next oil change. Anyone ever use this?

Before you assume you are burning oil there are four things to check. Make sure you aren't leaking oil from the lower oil pan, oil cooler seals or the rear valve covers. Also make sure your PCV valve is operating correctly. Doing these things, if there are leaks etc, will probably take care of your "oil consumption."

That stuff works wonders, all you need is one bottle but before you use it make sure you don't have any leaks.
