can Bose sub be ran on aftermarket Hu?

Got an '03 max that has a pretty decent aftermarket system. All speakers have been changed out and are on an aftermarket 4 channel amp. Everything was installed by previous owner. Only thing missing is a sub. He removed to put in his new max. I really don't care for pounding bass(gonna be 40 this year and have a 3 year old little girl). The door speakers sound great and have a little midbass/midrange but I'd like a little more. Would like to just run the factory bose sub. Is it possible? 5th gen forum said the impedence on the bose is 1 ohm and won't work with the aftermarket amp. So what about running the bose amp/sub combo? Can it be tied into the new system? Is there a way to get signal from radio to the bose amp? Aftermarket HU, aftermarket amp on all the door speakers, with bose sub/amp. Any way to do it?

I toyed with it in several different ways when I put in my alpine. IMO, buy a seperate sub and run an amp. The Bose sub is garbage to begin with, so don't waste your time. Even something as simple as a single 10 sealed will sound 10x better.
