flushing the radiator tommorow...........

Where the hell is the coolant drain plug?? And the thermostat for that matter? I am probably just overlooking them. My heat doesn't blow too hot and I'm hoping this helps. I read the posts on other ways to fix it, but I'll try this first. The temp. gauge doesn't really move past the cold position and when it does it only goes up a little. Hopefully it is just the thermostat.

Not 100% sure but I would assume the thermostat is where the
upper radiator hose meets the engine. Not sure though I am so used to working on my Bronco. I wish the Maxima was that easy

if you ahve to ask, buy a shop manual and it'll save you ALOT of time. 15 bucks or whatever they are is well worth it!

The radiator drain is on the drivers side, and it has a little hose coming of of it. The thermostat is below the top of the timing belt cover. Where the upper radiator hose goes into that metal piece there is another rubber hose that gose down and into the thermostat housing, that's where the thermostat is if you have a VG. And get a Haynes manual if you're going to be doing anything on your car.
