99 Nissan Maxima GXE Electrical Issue

I am having some Electrical issues with my Maxima.

It started tonight with my radio cutting in and out. I then noticed that when the radio was out I did not have my cigarette lighter power outlet. I then noticed that that I did not have any running lights or interior lights on my dash.

The total list of issues I can find.

The power to all of these issues randomly come back on

Power windows do not work
cigarette power outlet doesn't work
radio does not work
tail lights do not work
parking lights do not work
ac does not work

I am sure there are more issues, but that is what I can find. I am suspecting a body control module. I have checked all the relays I can and all the fuses. They all check out fine.

Any and all help you guys can give me would be appreciated.

This is a tough one, not enough info. The main fuseable link located in the under hood fuse panel could be the culprit. It feeds maybe half of the car, such as power windows, horn, tail & parking lights, dome light, step lights, heater blower motor, cigarette lighter, power mirrors, windshield wipers and on and on. I've never seen a fuse that was intermittent though. It would have to be a wire connection problem.

What about grounds? Clean and re-attach ground points.

I had originally done the ground mod on my maxima when I got it. Grounded the crap out of everything. I recheck and cleaned all of those grounds. The problem still persisted.

I then got the idea that I could watch the problem while I was in the engine compartment by turning on my parking lights. As they were one of the problems.

So with my parking lights on I proceeded to grab and move around all of the cables and connections inside the engine compartment. I luckily started on the drivers side where the fusible links and battery are.

After grabbing the wiring coming out from under that block I noticed the parking lights come on. I then moved them around some more and after a bit the lights turn off again. Then wiggled it again and they came on. So after I took the bottom off of the fusible link box, I started wiggling the wires and noticed the main bus bar for the entire box was loose where the bolt holding it on was. I tightened that and all of the problems seem to have disappeared.

So if anyone else seems to run into this problem, check on the underside of the fusible link box.
