a/c

hey guys i have a 96 my problem is i have no a/c i have no power going to the compressor i used a test light to see if i get any power and i get nothing do you think its the relay under the hood

Check connections, wires, fuses, and relays. If you do that I can GUARANTEE you will find why it's not getting power.

Swap it with another identical relay in the box and test again.

There is a pressure sensor for the R134a refrigerant. If it has leaked out, the compressor won't run, preventing the compressor from destroying itself.

^^This. Does it even have R134a in the system to begin with? Nothing will happen without this.

Thanks all this time i thought i had in it there but i guess not i got it to work i put some R134a but i think i need to get another one the one i got was the small can now should i get another small can or get the big can

Two 12oz cans is enough to charge system completely...

each small can is 12oz. each car has its own specified level of r134a that youre supposed to fill it to. its usually documented on a label on the underside of the hood, and itll tell you the measurement in pounds. (for example when it says min .9 and max 1.4 you would fill it with 1.4 pounds of R134a from empty.)
