So... I failed my emissions test and I was informed that (P0135: Bank 1 Sensor 1) and (P0135: Bank 2 Sensor 1) have failed heater circuits. Today I replaced both of the front O2 sensors with Bosch (the same ones that came on my car) and I am still receiving the same error.

During the installation, unplugged the battery and I reset the ecu numerous times in between starts. The car is idling nicely, but usually the code pops up the second or third time starting the car after resetting the ecu.

I am experienced with this repair, as this is the second time in 4 years that I have replaced the oxygen sensors. Also, I have not had issues passing emissions since the first 02 sensor instance. From what I have gathered, it appears that I need to:

1. Check the voltage coming from the wire harness. Which should be between 10v - 12v. http://troubleshootmyvehicle.com/gm/...sor_test_2.php

3. Check for exhaust leaks using Seafoam. As any leaks will have smoke pouring from the location.

My tag will be expiring, so I will be riding the bus for +1 hour to my friend's house, where I will be doing the repairs. Is there anything else that I should check or try in addition to the steps above?

I realized that all I needed to do was check the 15A fuse next to the steering wheel and I would have saved myself a few hours of my time and $150. Problem solved and emissions passed. Check your fuses FIRST kids!

 

are you serious. I'm getting both o2 sensors as well. Which fuse you needed replaced.

 

Should be Fuse #31 - 15 amp for all 3 or 4 O2 sensor heater circuits.
