How to open R34 Headlights
How to open R34 Headlights
Hi,
I tried searching but I see people discussing how to install projectors and halos on the R34 headlights; none of which answer my question directly. So could you suggest how best to open and then reseal these lights?
Thanks,
M3

I haven't done R34's but I can't imagine it being much different. I copied this from vqpower.net.
Once the brackets are off, you need to take apart the plastic lens from the rest of the headlight. To do this, you can use the oven method. First, heat the oven up to 400 Fahrenheit; turn oven off; place a piece of cardboard underneath the headlight and insert it inside the oven. Leave it in there for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, take it out (use gloves or mittens because it’ll be super hot). Use a flat screwdriver or butter knife to pry off the plastic lens slowly and carefully. Don’t let any silicon get onto the reflector because it’ll be a pain to try to take it off.
And for my headlights, I used a clear silicone they use to seal fish tanks. I found it at wal-mart for $4.99

I did mine with the oven..
Just another note.. Since it's your first time, be careful you don't overheat the light or it will warp.. Better to take it out early and it not be hot enough than to ruin a headlight.

OK, thanks everyone! And yes, that's a great point snowman!
