98 maxima 1/4 mile, 0-60 MPH, trap speed.

I just wanted to share my numbers so others can compare.
My maxima has a stock engine, lightly modded air box, cat-back open exhaust with straight-thru glass pack resonator. Also, I recently replaced a faulty knock sensor so timing is optimal for a factory tune. No tuning has been done. I run only premium fuel. Gasoline is Tennessee is pretty much all E5 or E10.

My run was done with outside temp of approx. 75 degrees F. The engine had some heaksoak from previous few miles and being parked twice before the run.
Also had a passenger in the front seat for the second run.
The run was clocked using a GPS speedometer app on my cell phone.
Front tire pressure: 35 PSI
Rear tire pressure: 40 PSI
Tire size: 205/55/R16
Transmission: Auto, letting it shift itself.

Stats:
First run:
1/4 mile time: 15.24 seconds
Failed to log speed for trap or 0-60 mph

Second run: (with passenger)
1/4 mile time: 16 seconds
Trap speed: 85 MPH
0-60 MPH: 9 seconds

My opinion: car seems slow when looking at these numbers, but feels peppy and fun regardless. Got very brief tire chirp when launching.

Pretty good actually for what you have done.
I would go to actual 1/4mi to compare but nice if that app is accurate.

I had auto 4th gen with just cone filter on intake and ran 15.9 @90

Get a ypipe one of biggest mod gain for 4th gens for price.

I plan to make a custom ypipe since i'm on a budget. gonna weld up something crude...should be better than stock by far. not sure when though.

i'll post results if i get around to it.

thanks for the input.

If those numbers are accurate (you were not at a track), then you should check for the ghost knock sensor code....your trap speed is low IMO. That was my trap speed with my second gen.

no ghost codes, been checking periodically. recently replaced KS and relocated it to upper intake manifold so i can actually get to it. running premium so not worried about spark knock. car feels peppier since doing the KS. i was not at a track, but it was a service street on my neighbor's property. the street is very long, flat and straight. also the app used gps to determine speed and times. i can't vouch for it's accuracy though. it's just the only way i can currently clock the distance and times.

curious why you mentioned me not being on a track. should my times be faster on a track? reason i ask is because tracks surfaces are ideal, but i don't have any real experience on tracks. please elaborate.

Because they have equipment made for timing what you are posting. It would be more accurate.
