How much you paid to get the antenna and trunk hole shaved?

I know there are not THAT many of you out there, but since my car is already in the shop, I am thinking of getting the Antenna and trunk hole shaved. How much it should cost on average? I know it depends on the location but just wanted to get an IDEA. If not the trunk, i will get the antenna shaved for sure since i already have the VW antenna. Thanks for your input ppl.

I don't have it done on my Max but what I do know about it is that it's kinda costly. They have to fill the hole with compound, i think get rid of all the paint thats on the quarter panel, then repaint the quarter panel. For something so small that no one really notices besides Maxima freaks like us, it takes a lot of work.
Sorry I can't give you a dollar amount, but I think it could run you somewhere around $500-600.

That's exactly what I just did. It looks great from over 5 feet away. When you get close, you can see that the key hole is there, but its all good.

to do it RIGHT.. you shouldnt fill it with compound. They make a piece of metal cut to size and weld that in there...then they have to smooth it down and primer it. The reason it cost so much is because of the painting involved. since it is on the rear quarter..you have to paint the WHOLE rear quarter panel. From top of the door, the little edge that runs down the door, back to the trunk.

to answer the question....

Trunk Keyhole - 300-400
Antenna - 300-400

Depends on the shop really but it can always fluctuate.. there is a guy here in north florida who quoted me at 400 for the entire job..

go to a small body shop and ask for the paint code... mine is dj2 (black emerald) and they gave me a small cup of the paint for like 5 dollars

Pretty much like what Bigsadler said..
On average...$300-400 Antenna, $300-400 Keyhole

Believe it or not, Superblack is the hardest paintcolor to mix. Take it to a reputable shop that is experienced in blending the new paint to match your car's existing bodycolor.
