Need 2012 Maxima stereo specs

The stereo sounds pretty good, but I'd like to compare it to other cars before I buy a 2012 Maxima.

How many watts does it have etc. Can some direct me to a web page with this info or give me specifics?

Thx

All the info I could find...

Nine speakers, including three 3.5" Twiddler® neodymium front speakers, two 6" x 9" front door woofers, two 6.5" wide-range neodymium rear door speakers and two 6" x 9" rear neodymium woofers

Watts don't mean anything in the factory stereo world. Listen to all of them and decide which is better IMO.

True. It's just marketing. I had one set of component speakers in my last car and those had more clarity and detail than the Bose.

Here's an Toyota Avalon Spec.

http://www.jbl.com/toyota/avalon

I wonder how it compares. All I know is the Maxima sounds pretty good but the Avalon has 2 subwoofers. It is 7.1 surround sound system.

Yes it is one of the cars I am considering.

IMO 7.1 is useless since a very small amount of music is recorded in multi-channel. I would imagine most music would be played in simulated surround sound.

If the stereo is important to you, I'd look into the ELS in the Acuras' or the Mark Levinson in Lexus'. I always hear good things about those systems.

Hey sorry I don't mean to not answer your question, but imo the max is such a great car, I wouldn't rule it out for the stereo, bc that is something you can always upgrade.

I dunno about that, Toyota is still extremely popular and does make reliable cars. They may not be the most bold styling or sporty but they have their customers.

Anyway, I am just researching and haven't made up my mind yet. I'm not buying a car only based on a stereo, I think both makes have goofd ones though.
