Car shudder question.

My girl took my 99 to work and on the way home she called saying it was shuddering and the dash lights were going beserk. It finally shut off as she pulled over. I went to see if I could find the problem and didn't smell anything unusual from the engine so I moved the battery cables and it started right up with no prob. Went to start i t this morn and nothing. I'm putting my money on a bad connection. The battery and alt are pretty new. Any clues or experiences with what this could be?

Agree with bad connection. The car's 13 years old, it's bound to happen. Remove the battery cables, clean off, and re-install nice and tight, ensuring good connection. If that doesn't work, get new connectors. Not too pricey and has fixed intermittencies like that before.

Did all of the above and still nothing. Mine has a lil red box on the positive cable connection. Could the problem be coming from this?
