why even have a place for a tow hook with no place to screw it to lol.

 

Early 2009's had it, but it seems somewhere in the cycle they stopped including both the equipment inside AND the tow hook screw.

There's another thread on this someplace, but that's what looks like happened.

Now it's just a leftover hole to nowhere.

 

Mine stops at the end of the foam.

 

Mine too. Just solid steel at the back of the hole in the foam.
