I threw mine away. I didn't like the high pitch whistle it made at highway speeds with the sunroof open.

I understand some feel that way. I just got my Maxima and I think the car looks more sporty with deflector. Some say the reflector is user friendly, would like to find one in good condition that needs a "home"

I love my wind deflector. And my sun roof is far quieter than my sisters car without one. At any rate, if you have trouble finding a used one here's the cheapest I've found a new one. Only 55 Bucks.

I will never own a car with a deflector again, and will remove it if it came with one. 2002 w/ 100k miles with a ring of surface rust under this thing (where the rubber touches the paint).

Removed it, had the roof repainted professionally, realized the car looks better without & sounds quieter when the sunroof is open.

you do not want one

Whistling sound? Was it OEM?

Let me save you the trouble: go OEM.

I bought an OEM-like one on ebay. Looked awful. stuck out like a sore thumb. Not only that, the aerodynamics of it really sucked. it did not make things quieter. Returned it.

Then I got another aftermarket one. Not OEM like but it boasted quietness and it looked more OEMish than my 1st one even though it didnt say it. That one sucked too.

Finally I sourced a completely OEM deflector. Looks great installed, doesn't protrude and look out of place, and now conversations can occur with the roof open at most speeds.
