What yrs '95 to '99 ft end body parts fit a '99

Had an accident with the '99. Will need to replace the hood, fenders, bumper (complete) and some of the underlying body structure behind the bumper. Car is mechanically fine, but body parts need replacement.

What year's parts between '95 and '99 will fit the '99 without hassle? I'm not concerned about things like the grill looking different as I need to swap it all... more like the fenders not fitting due to changes in mounting points, or the upper radiator support having different mounting points... that sort of stuff. I need it to be plug and play to pull this off.

Thanks,

97 to 99 had identical front ends. The only differences would be if your 99 had foglights...you'd need an SE bumper with the fogs cutout.

Pretty sure if you wanna swap all the parts you can do a 95-96 swap onto your 99. Personally I would keep looking for a 97-99 front end since it looks way better imo.

But if you just want identical parts I believe the hood and fenders are exactly the same, part numbers cross reference anyways. Then keep looking for 97-99 bumper wrap, grill, and fog lights :

95 and 96 front end will work just fine on a 97-99.

Sorry for dropping this... project got put on hold.

Did only the SE have foglights? Can you cut out the bumper on a '98 or '99 and install them?

Yes, only the SE had foglights.

I believe cutting would only be required if you had a 95/96 GLE or GXE bumper cover. This is not the case for you since you have a 99. Just get a 97-99 front bumper cover and install the foglights.

Great... thanks,

Any chance the non-SE is pre-wired, or will I have to wire it up and steal the column switch from an SE? Was it a plug-n-play harness that I can pull from an SE and use?

you are likely prewired, but you will need to get the Fog stalk, relay and a fuse to make them work.

Fuse and relay are under the hood

Like TSD and you mentioned, get a fog stalk. Your Max should be pre-wired for fogs as it was always an option to add on non-SE models. Take a peek, you should find the connections secured to the frame in that area.

From what TSD said, it appears you also need a relay and fuse as well.

its kind of odd, my car had the fuse already..but no relay. My cousins car had the relay but no fuse.

It would be best to check and make sure if you need one, both, or neither

Yes, that's what we're saying. Get yourself some fogs if you want 'em.
