Best price on OEM Nissan parts.

I need to buy left and right fog lights for my 99 Max SE. (both shattered).
Best price I have found was from Courtesy Nissan for $133.00.
Anyone have suggestions for a better price? I have tried all of the parts links at the site, Courtesy still has the best price, I want to order today.

They are not always cheaper than courtesy, but give them a shot nonetheless.

Or try www.auburnnissan.com that I ordered 96 complete fog lamp kit yesterday, for $179 plus shipping. Don't know if they will sell fog lights only.

Is that $133 a piece or for the pair. For he pair, it is a great deal! You WILL NOT find better than that. Wait it can't be for the pair! If you check out another thread, the lenses are available for $140 for the pair.

Used ones are hard to find! I know!

Is that with the Maxima.org member discount? If not mention that you are a member here and get the discount.

Correct. The "lens" is listed separately but is really the entire assembly. I'm going to try calling "Pete" at extreme.
The $133 price is for each assembly.

He remembered you Pete. Also invited me to call him with mechanical questions if I needed to. Ordered the fog lights from him a 120.00 each, they covered the shipping. Thanks for the lead.

Next question:

Has anyone used the following PIAA bulbs in theie fogs, I want an amber color for the fogs. Know who distributes these?

http://www.piaa.com/h3bulbs.html

I just installed the PIAA Platinum Series Super White 9004:

http://www.piaa.com/9000seriesbulbs.html

They were pricy $85.00/pair, nice brightness.

does this include the fog lights and install/housing kit? i have a '96 gxe (auto) and from what i understand, my car is not pre-wired for fog lights. which means, i would have to buy foglights, mounting assembly, and cut a hole on my bumper. is this correct? please let me know. i got a quote from a local nissan dealer for the complete kit and foglights and they were way off base...i think somewhere around $500 for the whole thing w/o install.

please let me know. if it's only $179 for the whole thing, i'm gonna order.

It is everything for a pre-wired 95 and 96 Maxima, according to Steve at Aubuns Nissan. I also took a look at the complete kit at my local dealer. Except for the wires from steering wheel swich to the fog lamps, everything is there. I specifically asked if a base GXE without any option, stick shift, is NOT pre-wired. They said "well, we rarely see any Max not pre-wired...". Best is to look under the hood for the connectors hanging there...
It IS $179 + 10% shipping = $198 delivered to the door. I paid over the phone already.

That would be the best ever price in the whole world. Do you still remember if it's genuine Nissan, new? Long time ago I started thinking about adding fog lights but thought it too expensive. I just searched online from time to time, and got installaton instructions ready but the parts. Now all of a sudden I decided.

I use these & highly recommend them. Nice light. Good, true, fog-light functionality, w/ the yellow light. Nice look, too. Always get compliments.

Got them from:
http://www.tpautomotive.com

Good service, received order promptly. Ask for "Wen," sales rep. Tell him I sent you from the .org

$179 is for both sides. I didn't ask "Is it for both sides?" but I strongly believe it is since it's a "complete kit". BTW the kit I saw at local dealership has two boxes, one for each lamp, plus everything else in a big carton.

I can respond to this as I am the "other guy".
The fog light kit in question is for the year of 1996,
these fogs are physically different (also cost less) than
the 1999 fogs.
