Need advice about grounding wire kit

hi guys i got a 2001 maxima 20th AE and i need some advice and opinion about grounding kit.

i know there some kit for sale for our maximas and i dont really want to spend all that money for one But i was planning to build myself . in my town there a electronic store that got some good price on wire and stuff...

And for this upgrade does this worth it ? anyone tryed it ? Ive done some research about it and i dont find anyone that have tryed it.

the improvement are:

-brighter exterior/interior lights
-faster shift for automatic transmission
-faster power windows
-ect...

so im curious about that, mainly for the transmission improvement and for sure the power windows. Mine is very very slow i need sometime to help it with hand and even when greased all the tracks and stuff in the door

so i want your feedback about this

thanks alot guys

I purchased the kit from an org member, it was cheaper then the raw materials - Great deal! However, my overly sensitive senses noticed absolutely no difference in anything after it was installed. Looks pretty under the hood...

I agree.

IMO, keep your OEM grounds nice, clean, and well taken care of and they'll treat you well.

Otherwise, they wont, and you might have a situation on your hands when your car doesn't start or begins acting funny when you press the brake.

The only GND worth adding is one straight from the NEG terminal to one of the starter mounting bolts. That was the first one I added after cleaning the GND mounting points and noticed a much quicker start. I added in several other hand made GND wires but got no additional improvement.

I was not aware of the absolute need to properly clean my transmission mating surface before re-installing. I was plagued with starting, and crank sensor problems. I ended up making my own grounds out of 4 awg stranded wire, and fixed my problems.
Not sure if every ground I installed made an overall improvement, but after grounding the starter, I starting performing continuity test through out my engine bay/battery/frame, and came across a lot of dead spots.

I installed 5 ground wires:

1. Battery to starter
2. Battery to body near fuse box (driver side)
3. Head to body
4. UIM to body
5. UIM to firewall

*Upon research, UIM to firewall caused some drivers to hear a type of ticking/clacking sound. Some say the ground wire acted as a means for sound waves to travel from the engine, to the firewall, were it was amplified. Others suggested a possible RF signal, or other electronic interference. I personally had no ill effects from installing it.
*This was on my 1995 Max...not sure if the 5th gen has the same "ground" issues.

That's actually what I'm working on right now...just created that, and realized it's huge.
