I was just wondering if a 93 Se has a timing belt or a chain. How much does it cost to get a timing belt changed if there is one on the car?

Yes, chain. For other curious GXE owners, belt change is typically about $400. $25 for belt, rest is labor.

If you do it, I'd change the water pump, top/bottom radiator hoses & clamps, the drive belts too. Also, check the frost plug for leaks - or just change it. Often a trouble spot and cheap to change when in there doing the timing belt. Otherwise, it's basically the same labor charge for the frost plug as doing the timing belt. Consider it a near freebie, maintenance item when doing the belt.
