I got a 02 max gle and the 8" bose sub is blown. I been doing some research but can't find a solid answer. I'm looking for a aftermarket 8" free air sub that will plug right into the stock bose amp and also around that same size that will bolt right where the bose sub is now.

 

I think the stock Bose Sub runs at 2 ohms??? So just find one that runs at 2 ohm, no more or less or you might ruin the bose amp. But I'm not an expert so you might want to wait on one of them to post before you purchase.

 

The Bose subwoofer has it's own amp built into the sub itself. It receives a line signal from the main bose amp. You would have to get a sub and amp to replace it. Wiring is a little tricky but it can be done.

 

Theres no way I can get a aftermarket amp that will plug directly into the bose amp?

 

Anything aftermarket that is p&p compatable with Bose is difficult to come by. You might have to get a bit creative on this, or look in the classifieds for a used Bose sub, or someone parting out their car for one.
