For some time I've noticed that there is a rattling noise coming from where the water pump is especially at start up then it slowly goes away. Does anybody know what could be the problem is it time for me to get a new one? I've been having problems with my car staying cold for a long period of time especially in the winter time when I put the heater on and then the temp drops ?

 

try fooling around with the mounting bolts......is that dont werk try a new pump

 

it sounds to me like the thermostat.. I had all most the same problem.. but my end up been the water pump.. and it's B*tch to change it.. it took me about todays by my self..
