Is Blu-ray ever going to get into the car audio/video world?

Not that I care about 1080p resolution on a 7" screen, nor 7.2 DTS audio, but I'd like to finally get rid of the stuff I have on DVD and Blu-ray (some movies, some concerts) and just have Blu-rays. It ain't easy having first world problems yo! haha Lossless audio would be nice though (with the right equipment I'm sure)!!
For the cars nuts with big TV's, high end speakers and eq's that allow the whole movie surround sound experience, I'm sure they would benefit from Blu.
Thoughts?
