I was wondering why I havent heard anything here about Eibachs Wheel Spacers. After hearing 2 horror stories from threads about the Ichiba Spacers this weekend im a little afraid of them. How come nobody has mentioned Eibachs, is there a problem with them? Any one own them that can give a little input? Also there camber kits, why is everyone go with the 350Z?

Also, first time with spacers, whats our bolt pattern etc.

If you read a little more about the Ichiba spacers you will see that the couple of major issues mentioned were due to improper installation. The spacer nuts must be torqued to 80-85ft/lbs using a torque wrench and not an impact gun.

I installed spacers (20mm front and 25mm rear) a couple weeks ago and pulled my wheels off yesterday to check everything. The nuts were still nice and tight. Haven't felt any vibrations while driving and will check the nuts again in a few weeks to make sure everything is still safe and secure.

I think some guys are shying away from spacers because of the couple horror stories out there, but if installed correctly they are perfectly safe. The 20mm/25mm combo makes for a NICE flush look....

I agree, I'm using spacers on both my vehicles and have yet to have any issues, vibration or otherwise.

I was kind of looking to go with 15mm/20mm

 

I have H&R spacers, the V.1 Which come with extended studs and of course the spacer themselves. On my Pathfinder I'm using adapters, which are bolted onto the hub with their own studs and nuts, and then the wheels are bolted to them, kinda like the Ichiba v2.

Have yet to encounter any problems on either set-ups.

The H&R's were 130$ per set, I have a set (2) of 5mm, 10mm and 15mm.

The adapters on the Pathfinder weer 250$ for a set of 4.

 

For me it was price. Couldn't see spending what Eibach's go for when the Ichiba's are just as good.

 

Ok im going to try the Ichibas... There are alot of options that I hear about and see on their site and its confusing the hell out of me since i never used spacers before ... Am I getting V1, V2? whats the difference? I want 15mm/20mm... can someone choose them for me? Id really appreciate it.

Yup, you'll need to replace the studs, which requires the removal of the brakes.

 

im confused because ive been going on youtube to see how easy/hard it is and none say remove the brakes...

Also are these the ones i need? I notice the center bore is 66.2 and on the ichiba site its 66.1

If you're getting V2 spacers then the studs do not get replaced. The spacer bolts to the stock stud and there are new studs on the spacers which the wheel bolts to.

No reason to touch the brakes. This is only necessary if you are replacing the stock studs with longer studs, which is not required with the V2's

Has anyone used blue loc tight on the spacers? What would you think about that? Would I need to get a new alignment after install?

 

Yes, loc tite is good.

No need for an alignment. This does not effect camber

 

ok good to hear about loc tite, i live off that stuff, lol... whats the grease people rub on the studs before install (youtube)?

 

One thing I was just wondering... When the spacers are put on properly, do I have to watch for pot holes more, can I still drive semi-aggressive, taking tight fast turns etc. not that I drive like a **** but if it ever came to having a little fun, do I need to tone it down a bit with spacers?

No need to tone it down....I drive my 2012 like I stole it....

Once I install the Eibachs that are sitting in my garage I'll drive it even harder.

You should always watch for pot holes, spacers or not!!!
