Favorite products and techniques to making paint shine?

I know I am probably about to open up a can of worms here, because everyone has their own favorite product, and their own methods; but, I was hoping to hear what all of you found works best for getting that wet look on the car and what you find is the best protection for your paint.

I've had very good results when using a clay bar, polish, & wax.
