Finally! My 4th window regulator went out

Now the cycle is complete. I have owned the car for 10 years and the last window regulator needs to be replaced. I ordered it last week, so it should be here any day.

I imagine now it's time for the first one I replaced to break again...

usually the plastic pulleys break. I haven't been able to crack open the door panel yet. I got the new regulator a few days ago, but I got really sick and have a sinus infection and ear infection. I haven't had an ear infection since I was like 4 years old. It hurts like a ****.

I just got over the sickness you describe, ears nose throat lungs head, the whole shebang. That's good you buy new regulators when they break opposed to used. I'm down to two working used spares out of a total of 5 that I once had. The next time one breaks and I don't have a spare, I'm going to start buying new ones.

I think the new regulator was < $30 with free shipping on ebay. If I went to u-pull-it and yanked one, it would probably be $10 or $15 + 20 minutes of my precious time. I would much rather have one delivered to my door. I guess I could have saved some from that parts car, but I figured they would be breaking soon, anyway.

Since my car was in the garage, I waited a bit to install it, but I got it done Friday. I feel better, but I have an ear that is still clogged. The dr. said up to a month and if it doesn't unclog I need to see an ENT specialist.

Yep all my spare regulators were from a VE in Seattle. Paid a guy $200 and shoved as many parts as I could in my car. Sounds like a lot, but I came home with a set of injectors, 5 speed tranny, MAF, coil packs, fender, bumper, regulators and some interior stuff. All of the parts really came in handy later on. This was in 2005 right after the accident.
