Smc Members You Would Be Proud Of My 1/4 Mile!!!

Well First run of the 1/4 mile track and I pulled a 18.734. that was due to the 1.2 r/t and 2.8 60 foot time

I was hoping to get to 90mph but it was not meant to be. I don't really care about the times but I posted my worst and I'll post my best.

I had my 2 12's and amp's in the trunk and 1/2 tanks of gas. And 150 mile trip to the track.

My best time was

r/t 1.143
60 foot 2.4
1/8 10.075
1/4 15.545
mph 88.66

Best of the above cat's

r/t .604
60 foot 2.245
1/8 10.075
1/4 15.545
mph 89.49

But I did beat a camero. So I do feel ok. Just wish I could have hit 90 mph. Oh well maybe next time

You're killing yourself with the added weight tho. Next time you head to the track, dump the speakers (if you can) and try to get to the track with a 1/8 to 1/4 tank. The MA/CT crew tries to do this when heading to the track. Good times regardless.

But isnt Greg a GLE?

Your 15.5 run is a solid way to start. You should be at least 15.3 w/ those mods. Also your trap speed wil be 90mph once you drop all that stereo weight and run less gas. I have 2 of the same mods as you and i hit 90mph NA. BTW, im ...... auto. <sigh>

don't argue with the robot bish... i believe loaded SE's weigh the same as GLE's fuzzy pillars and pop out drawers don't weigh that much

Actully, yes. And they weren't that light. Aftermarket wheels could be much lighter, and I'm sure you know about the 1lbs per wheel = 8 lbs of body weight reduction (the other thread). On the other hand, if he had heavy wheels 15.5 isn't bad. Bring it on, botbish .

Yeah , but I run with all of these things when I race on the street. SO it made more sense to me to run in street form. And sometimes I have a passenger in my car.

BUT, I do understand what your saying. I think I might drop the weight just to see what I could run.

SPRINT- yes gxe's owns ME!!!!! and I ran with the 18 inch toxxins
BTW , ben kicked my butt twice.. so I got owned by a GXE

has nothing to do with your theory of GLE's being heavier and why greg ran 15.2

It might have something to do with why bags ran a 15.5. The wheels are heavier. I would expect a 15.2 as well, but greg had lighter wheels.

so what does that have to do with the GLE being heavier than a fully loaded SE? and how do you know that greg's wheels are lighter than bags wheels?

I don't know, but I do know that the 18"s Toxxins will slow the car down more than the 17" '01 SE wheels. You figure out the bet. And bags bigger wheels will always slow a car down, reguardless of whether or not they are lighter (which I am sure they are not by much).
