Guys - New (95)Maxima owner, and my first 5 speed.
How often do I need to change my gear oil? Ballpark, what should this cost? The last time I had it changed they replaced something called the neutral switch... uh what's that?

If this makes any difference, I'm pretty easy on the clutch.... I miss gear and grind it a bit once a week. Thanks for your help, great site.

 

There is no set time I believe. I would say every 40k or so using a good synthetic gear oil.

 

If you drive normal, and out Amsoil or Redline in there, you should never have to change it. You beat on it, I'd go with what Jeff said.
