Lately, I've been hearing lots of squeaks and rattles from all over the car. Mainly from the side poll where the seatbelt is. And excessive comes from the center of the dash and the passenger side storage.

Any people have that?

 

I have a creaking/popping sound from the left of the dashboard near the door panel.

Some rattle coming from around the drivers seat. Which I have never been able to find

When going over bumpy roads theres lots of noise...I dunno if it's from bad quality or if I have to much crap bouncing around in the bins lol

 

I'm having my squeaks and rattles addressed today. There is a TSB on this very issue.

I have a rattle in my dash vent system somewhere.
When the heat is on and coming through the dash it goes away. In the summer when the car is warm I don't hear it either.
I figure the dealer would cause more damage than good, so I just live with it.

 

Seems like the 5th gen's are going through what the 4th gen's have been.

There are many threads in the 4th gen forum aboout removing panels and adding some sort of stuffing behind it and then reinstalling it.

Carpet padding works well and is light.

And I to have the seatbelt rattle

 

Rattles in general or a specific one? Tell us how it goes!

 

I have a creaking noise coming from the A-Pillar on the passenger side of the vehicle and also on top of the clock.

Yeah I got the A Pillar one...

 

I have the pax side A-pillar plus one that seems to be coming from somewhere near the ashtray. Both drive me crazy! The cold weather seems to have made them woorse.

 

I have rattles in the air vent that's blowing air to the side mirror. But it's really minor.

 

Nothing yet. But, I do drive with the radio on. Probably should shut it off and listen...

 

i have exactly 7 rattles and one squeaky leather passenger's seat, all to be fixed on friday, the dealership seems to be very cool and understanding about them, one guy said to leave it there all day and he'll check every inch out, good luck with your dealership

 

The question should be "who here doesn't have squeaks and rattles?"

There is a tsb out (look at the sticky's at the top of the 5th gen forum - it's in there) on this and I think it covers all the areas you mentioned.

 

I have rattles/buzzing from rear deck, all doors, near speakers, center console, glove box, tweeter area, basically the car is falling apart. I hate going to my local Nissan dealer.. hate them.. bunch of useless ... Bring my car in to get fuel cut issue taken care of, of course, can't duplicate... and then I said why not just do it? They say, well it take whole day bla blah, well they had the car the whole day and did nothing. bastards, I think I'll just go to "Home Depot" or "Lowel's" performance shop and get some foam and fix it myself...

 

i have that one too. we i think i do. i think the one i'm hearing is either closer to the engine side, or it is actually coming from outside the car. i'm going to tackle this problem this weekend to see what it is.

 

Most of those squeaks and rattles are just caused by the contraction of the materials used in the manufactoring of the interior. It's winter and much colder.....cold = contraction (of most materials). I noticed the same thing when I drove to PA over Christmas.....annoyed the h&*# outta me......drove back down to sunny FL and they all disappeared.

 

The thing squeeks and rattles every day now. At first I thought it was just me putting a beating on the car. But when I joined the board I found out it's the car. Starting to tune them out now. I keep the radio turned up . But it's still annoying to have a car so new with so many rattles.
