Car wont crank after iginition coil replacement

the other day, came from work and the engine was misfiring horribly, so did the self-test code check. 0201 and 0603. Not knowing much, I researched the 6th cylinder ignition coil issue and replaced that, and it worked like a champ.

A week later, got into the car and turned the key..and nothing. No turnover, no crank, but all the lights and batter were working. Prior, it seemed as though it was harder to turnover..like the starter was going bad. Still throwing a 0201 code.

Any suggestions, ideas for a newbie before I take it to a real mechanic? Thanks.

The 0201 code (P1320) will not prevent the engine from cranking. It could be caused by the crankshaft sensor, CKPS(REF), on the crankshaft pulley by the oil filter.

You need to check the small wire that goes to the starter and see if there is 12 volts when the key is turned in the START position. If yes, the starter has a problem. If no, it might be the ignition switch. Try turning the key real hard and wiggle it and see what happens. If you have an auto trans, try putting the shift lever in neutral and see if it starts.
