hmm what could it be

So today I switched out my vogtland springs for tein s techs...just the front...and ever since its been making noises when I turn the wheel...also it doesn't seem to have lowered it much more than the vogtland springs...it only makes the noises when turning...I replaced my outer tie rods about 6 months ago...any ideas

It is possible the strut rod is turning in the upper strut mount/bearing which caused squeeking noises when turning. This happens when the little notch out in the upper strut mount gets worn down and doesn't hold the strut rod in place any more as was designed. I noticed this more on aftermarket strut mounts that I purchased from NAPA that the notch out was not as precise as the OEM ones.

Yeah I was thinking that is what it could be...is it called the strut mount top hat? and any idea on. Its not sitting much lower than the Courland springs...I went from a 1.4 inch drop to a 2.2...it should be alot lower I would think

I've driven several thousand miles with mine that way. No ill effects.

As for the Vogtland vs. S-techs, there will be a settle period if the Tiens are new, but not that much. Something is not right if your car isn't much lower than with Vogtland.
