a ? for the manual tranny guys

I'd like to know if the shifting of the transmission is normally kinda hard. Mine isn't very hard to shift, but when i'm going at it, I feel like I have to kinda strong arm the shift to be sure it gets in. Driving normal seems to be ok, but it still feels like i have to be very positive in a way when I shift. This is the first Nissan and import i've ever owned so I don't know if this is a normal thing for these cars or not. I come from owning Firebirds and thier 6 speeds arent' hard to shift at all. Thanks for the help guys.

5.5 gen trannies are known to be clunky especially second and third. You can search the forum and read all the posts on the 3rd gear grind.

There are ways to drastically reduce this...

Energy Suspension shifter bushings and the FREE STS mod.

the length of the shift really doesn't bother me much, it's more the pressure i seem to have to give to get it in. From readin the post on the STS mod, it looks like the MT-90 oil might help with my problem.
