Chassis stiffening/reinforcement

Hi,

I'm looking to reinforce the chassis of my I35. The car is my daily driver so a roll cage is definitely not an option.

I would like to know what you guys used and if you found it was a big improvement?

I read that some people think that adding bars would help in case of an accident? What is your opinion on this?

And did anyone used UltraRacing product? What is your experience with this company's product or what did you heard of them?

Thank you very much!

Unfortunately, I don't think you have a lot of, or really any, options.

Sure you can do things like strut tower braces, but I never noticed any substantial improvements after installing them.

I have had the old stage 2 Warpspeed subframe connectors on my car for about 10 years now, and they were a great addition. Last year I had some fender braces custom made and installed them, and they were also a great improvement. Both increased ride quality and comfort noticeably. Neither are currently for sale.

There is always the chassis foam route, which a few here have tried, but it's a messy ordeal, and one I'm not super keen on doing. It might be your only option though.

In terms of how any additional bracing would affect the car in an accident, I think it's mostly speculation. Cars have crumple zones for a reason, but at the same time I can see how having a stiffer unibody could be helpful in some impacts.

I haven't really been keeping up with the Ultra Racing products. If you do some searching you can probably find a thread or two talking about their stuff, but from what I remember, there were fitment or availability problems.

What is your end goal here? To make the car ride better?

Maxrider,

What custom fender brace are you talking about? Is it the ones on the quarter panel?
Thanks

More weight on that car will be to your detriment.

Just spend the money on tires and wheels and then decide if you want to go further.

And when I say go further, I mean buy a 4th gen.
