So i was goign through sticky list of parts...

and got to pricing some parts for my car, keeping in mind you get waht you pay for. I noticed some stuff was reasonably cheaper than others like a 50 dollar fuel pump instead of a 100 dollar fuel bump, cool. Then i started noticing stuff like Tie rod ends for like 9-10 bucks but, it wasn't just rod end it was other parts and the name that kept popping up was Meyle so did some googling and found something i thought might be worth re posting.

Why change the FP unless you are having issues? Fuel pump failure for these cars is extremely rare. My 95 still has it's original FP.

OTR's are fairly cheap and easy to install, but 9-10$, I'd skip that sale. MOOG/Raybestos/OEM are decent replacement parts, quality, etc.

Rockauto is common around here, as is Courtesy parts.

Also - www.nissanpartsasap.com which is another own Nissan parts dealer willing to offer affordable/reasonable pricing. Best to call them: talk to Ray or Wayne.

You were not clear initially. But, you've clarified now the point of all that wasn't about finding good parts for your car, rather identifying the crap. We're on the same page now.

You'll find i'm rather poor with written English. My strengths lie else where but, i try to learn and improve where i can.

at least we know Meyle is ****e. it's interesting you mention finding good brands, if there is not a sticky for the good brands that i have yet to read i make a thread asking or even ask in this thread.

www.rockauto.com

www.thepartsbin.com

I go to Autozone for some parts too.

Difficult to tell what's going to be good and what's not. MOOG was/has been praised here, but, a few years back a member bought some suspension parts, and they turned out to be subpar. We can only give advice in the general sense. Some people have had good experiences with certain sties/brands, some haven't.

My last 2 MAF's for my 95 were bought for 35$ from www.car-part.com. As has my current MAF for 55$ in my current 03 Maxima. Another good place to buy good parts is on here in the marketplace.

all parts stores offer different brands, some are **** and other aren't. I'm just saying, one would be wise to watch the quality of the parts that they are installing. I like to look things over and if i'm suspicious do a little google of the brand see what people are saying, when forum post pop up in the results. also wiki sometimes has page on some companies.
