Will The OEM GPS from a 02'-03' work in a 01' GLE w/Bose

I'm able to get my hands on a OEM in dash GPS from a 02-03...I have a 01 GLE w/Bose...can anyone tell me will it work and if so, what wire harness adapter will I need to get or is it more complicated than that?
Thanks

Not really sure but I would not recommend waisting your time on a 10 year old nissan gps. I would hardly recommend a 2 year old one.

The 02-03 GPS also has the climate controls built in. The wiring harnesses are different even from the standard 02-03 models without GPS. It is HIGHLY unlikely you'd be able to get it to work in an 01. Just get an aftermarket GPS. You'll be happier in the long run.

To answer your questions

Yes and all of the body wire harnesses in the car should suffice.

also you should be happy with 7 year old maps if you decide to use it. They haven't been updated since then and won't be since they are on CD instead of DVD

You can get updated CDs, but it might be cheaper to buy a new car.

The ones you can buy from that website are version 5.5 which came out around 2005. You can reference this here:

http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...p-cd-swap.html

They still have the gall to change $120 for each region of the country though and there are 9 regions since it is CD based.

Also not sure how the climate control would work when you switched it to another car since those controls are built into the NAV unit.
