VQ30DE-K throttle cable mounting brackets?

Hey guys, so this has been killing me. I can't find the specific part # for the life of me. I've been looking thru the FSM and I know this is part of the EVAP system but still have no part # for the specific part.

What I'm looking for is the metal mounting brackets w/ pipe piece that bolts up on top of the intake collector and holds the throttle cables in place and also acts as a mid-pipe between the rubber EVAP lines from both sides. I believe the DE-K engine is the only one that has this. It's the worst POS quality metal piece in that engine, it's THE only part in the engine that has any rust on it. Actually, I can say the same for the coolant pipe below the valve cover, radiator stabilizer brackets, and the whole exhaust system but I already replaced all that stuff completely, horrible metal quality and this is on a car that's been garage kept it's whole life (my family has a 98 camry w/ over 300k on it and it still has original exhaust with no signs of rust and that car has NEVER been garage kept plus is driven in Maine of all places compared to my car which has been in Virginia it's whole life). I know those with the DE-K know exactly what I'm saying, and I know those with any Maxima feel my pain on the exhaust rust, because it's just pure crap quality metal and I just don't get it. Love my car, but some of these metal parts might as well be plastic and made in China since the quality is about even. It sticks out like a sore thumb when the rest of my engine is nice and clean without any rust. I want to replace those POS brackets with nice new shiny ones but I have to go to work and can't keep looking for the part # since it's so elusive.

If anyone can please help me out with a part # I would GREATLY appreciate it! That way I can stop at dealership on way home tonight. Thanks for the help!

Oh and last thing, if anyone here w/ a DE-K has had similar problem with that thing rusting, and I know every single DE-K I've ever seen w/ the original part has that rust there, let me know if you've found any good solution to deal with it? Maybe I can just sand the thing down nicely and paint it with some nice thermal engine paint, it seems like all surface rust and oxidation and that the pipe can still be fine. Would it be smart to do that instead of just getting a new piece? I don't want to salvage the piece only to have it rust through on me and leak in a year. Or better yet, perhaps I should just remove the piece, re-connect the rubber EVAP lines in the middle with a new hose, and have the throttle cable go into a couple of new screw in wire holders. Thoughts? advice? experience? let me know what you guys think

bump

anyone at all have an idea? I still can't find the part # for this. Anyone? Part# for throttle cable mounting brackets on DE-K engine?

I'm about to offer a $$$ reward for the first correct answer, no joke. I need to find this part. Matter of fact..Whoever answers this first, gets 100% FREE Nismo oil cap (red with polished aluminum) worth about $15-20 + shipping so it's not a completely cheap POS either.

I know it's not much, but come on I'm giving away free $$$ now just to get an answer.....someone help? ASAP! SOS!!! HELP!!! I needs a HELP!! I'm gonna be really gay once I find this part#.

Thanks for that, definitely appreciate it.

That gets me closer to my goal, I haven't seen those pics yet but the 1st one w/ accelerator linkage is the one I needed.

Now, I see the part is 18220 as well as 18220+A. There is also 18220+B and I'm trying to figure out is it 3 separate parts? It looks like one piece when I looked at it in the engine so that's why I'm asking. I just want the mounting brackets for the cables, so do I need the 18220 and 188220-A only or do I need all 3? What exactly is 18220-B?

Just trying to figure out exactly what is needed, thanks for all yours helps!

If I understand you, the part you need has several metal vacuum tubes welded to it. I do not think any of the parts in that diagram are it. I couldn't find any other parts diagram that had that.

But if you were going to stop at the dealer to get the bracket, why don't you let them look it up?

Yes, you understood me 100% correctly. It's those mounting brackets, but indeed they are welded to two metal pipes which simply act as a mid point between some EVAP rubber lines from either side. As I can see now, the mounting brackets in pic above are for the side and back of the throttle cables and not the piece(s) I'm talking about.

I had the same problem as you in trying to find this part, it just doesn't appear to exist anywhere unless it's part of a bigger diagram in which case there is no actual part # for that specific part. It's elusive as ever.
Believe it or not, I stopped by the dealership the day I posted this on way home, and the parts guy there is quite knowledgeable as I've bought several parts from there including my new MAF. He could NOT figure out what the part was for the life of him, and said he has NEVER seen what I'm describing. We were both stumped, and I'm currently still stumped on where in the blue hell I can find this part.

I appreciate everyone who's chimed in so far! At this point, is there ANYONE at all that has ANY IDEA where to find the part # for this or even just point me in the right direction on where to look? I really want to replace this POS part and just can't do it because I have no idea what it is, can't find it anywhere for the life of me.
I'm literally about ready to take it off, sand it down and prep, and use some black thermal engine paint on it. I would much rather have a new part for the fact that it has new metal IF I could ever find the part#, but if I have to maybe I'll just paint over it with black thermal.

I would love to find the part#, at which point I will definitely make a new pic (using FSM diagrams) to add and label that specific part for anyone else ever needing it in future. So any and all help appreciated greatly! Lets find this part and put it into our knowledge base because I know usually these kinds of questions get answered instantly here, but this one part seems to be sort of an elusive and unknown anomaly.

Tough one. May need more information or a picture of the exact place it attaches.

That's not it. ^^^ On the bracket in question, the pipes do not make a 90 degree bend, they are almost straight. The bracket is not on my 97, either. It is probably unique to the 2000 & 01.
