Axle Issue, need a little help

Since I've put the coilovers on I've had a slight click/ping when it turn the wheel. Reading on Ksport's website that is what they call normal. After a bit more research, turns out that worn spring perches causes this as well. The passenger side front (bottom perch) was a bit worn, so Iordered two new ones for both fronts.

Did the driver's side perch, it was worn bad (wasn't prior). To the point where no preload was on the spring. Finished that side than hit the passenger side. Holy greenish grease everywhere! Cleaned things up, replaced perch, and I still have clicking. It's not a constant "click click click" when rolling with the wheel turned (like I've heard prior from bad axles). It just clicks as the wheel initially turns.

This is where I need help. Grease is coming not from the first boot (closest to wheel) , but the next one back. Do I just need to replace the boot or is the axle going out? Seems odd that it would go the moment I throw coilovers on. Never clicked prior. I think the clicking is just what the Ksport website says and I just need a replacement boot, but I wanted to check with some of you first.

Please leave useless comment like "Ksport's suck" out of this, I know they are not great, but they are what I have at the moment.

If you are pretty low like two inches plus, then the axles get very stressed. Probably a failing axle.

The faster you replace the boot the better your chances are that the axle isn't toast, simple as that.

Put the old front setup on, no more clicking. Gorrila taped the boot as a temporary fix until I can get it replaced. Need to hit the FSM for info on getting to it.

Just the same as lifting a truck, CV angle is a sensitive thing, whether going lower or higher.

You need to take the axle out to do a boot repair kit.

I learned if you decide to go aftermarket axles having a garage deal with finding the part and installing it would be less headache.

Less headache=more money. But this is looking like a PITA job on a gravel driveway.

MAYBE.... You could get lucky and just get a set that doesn't vibrate like mine did.

Taking the old ones out was a pain in the butt

I'm 1.7" lower than stock with H-tech and GR2 and about 15000, the CV boots were completely ripped....so the lower you go the more change in the the axle geometry.

If I need to remove the axle to replace a boot, I might as well replace the axle. OEM ridiculous money, Duralast Gold (Auto Zone) $75, Tough One (Advanced Auto) $80. I also have a Napa nearby that I can as well as a Pep Boys.

Anyone have experience with aftermarket axles that they can share? I searched and read up on Raxles, but looks like the guy isn't doing them anymore. Well, unless I send mine for rebuilding I guess. Auto Zone is always sketchy. Never heard anything on this Tough One brand.

Can't be without the car for more than a day or two.

I replaced them with Autozone with lifetime warranty, no issues so far. Just make sure you match the new with the old one before you put the new one in.

Let's see here...you removed hubs...didn't replace bearings, used old ones...that maybe the culprit to the shaking
