Strange connector under steering wheel?

Strange connector under steering wheel?

Anyone know what this thing is?

It's below my steering column bolted to the plastic. Connects to some wires up in the dash...

...sorry forth both the image size and quality.

That is not a Nissan connector. The previous owner had something installed, but I have no idea what it may have been.

Its an anti theft device. There is a chip that plugs into it to start the car. I don't see a chip in the picture so I'd say it has been disconnected.
