2003 power window problem

I just bought my Dad's old Maxima when he got a 2013. Problem is: when I roll up the driver's window all the way, it comes right back down about 4 inches. I have to stop about 6 inches from the top and bump it up about an inch at a time to get it all the way up, or roll it up then turn the key off so it stays. He said it's been doing this for a while. Otherwise, the window operates as it should. Any ideas?

Search will yield you the answer. Remove the panel and hit the reset button

easy fix, my passenger side does the same thing, I'm just lazy to remove the driver door panel. i inquired at the dealership about it when i was getting my airbag igniter replaced, they told me that my motor is on it's way out. i laughed and told them i can fix it myself.

simpler

If you remove the little garbage collector/handel you should be able to see and reach the relearn button from there.

Button should be straight down behind the plastic (you can press it through the plastic)

1) put car in acc with the window up.
2) Hold button & roll down window (DO NOT USE AUTO)
3) ??? Do not release button???
3) roll window back (DO NOT USE AUTO)
4) Turn off ignition

5) If it didn't work restart skipping step 3

I used this procedure on both front windows and worked great first time. I only removed the window switches.
