I poured to much oil on my vq30dek?

OK guys so I did an oil change today and added roughly around 4.5-4.7 quarts of oil with a new filter. I drove the car for maybe two hours and notices the oil level wasn't clear on my dipstick so I'm going to drain some tomorrow before work. My question is, is my engine OK or could I have blown some seals or gaskets? Should I drain oil or just leave it?

You should be fine, but i'd drain some. 4.2 quarts.

wouldnt have done any damage, all that happens when you overfill the oil is air bubbles foam up and can cause issues. drain a bit when you get the chance, but you didnt damage anything. longterm as in months, maybe

I've gone a little over when adding oil, and i've never had issues with it before. Now, if you added maybe an entire quart or more too much you'll probably have problems.

Idiots at shops always use 5 qts in VQs b/c "they're sure and they know what they're talking about."

More reason to never let anyone touch your car.

But there's nothing really harmful from it if you're not sloshing the oil around (otherwise yeah, the crank is gonna foam it up).
