Can wheels from 2000 Maxima be used on a 7th Gen?

Is there any reason why the wheels from a 2000 Maxima cannot be used on a 2009 Maxima? The bolt pattern is the same - 5 x 114 and they appear to fit fine. I have a set of winter tires that I would like to use. I noticed that the 2000 wheels/tires are smaller than the 2009 wheels/tires, which I think means that the speedometer will not be accurate. I also know that the TPMS system will be affected. Other than that, is there a mechanical reason why I shouldn't use the 2000 wheels?

I don't see why those hideous wheels wouldn't fit our car

The only thing that might be a problem is the size of the calipers. If I recall correctly from a popular upgrade for the 5th gens, the 02-03 17" wheels would clear the 6th generation calipers, but the 00-01 wheels would not. So I don't think the 00-01 wheels would clear the 7th gen calipers either.

This is all just going from memory, but do a search in the 5th gen forum for "6th gen brake upgrade" and you might be able to corroborate what I said.
