Koni Yellow w/ GC, top hats?

Thinking about getting the yellows with ground control sleeve setup, but as I research on the combo, it is recommended to get extended top hats. I want at least a 2.5" drop. I see that there is only ones produced for Honda/Acura. What's the deal? Anyone know where to get extended hats for a 4th gen?

Extended hats might be something to increase suspension travel. I think they are talking about upper top mounts which give the spring/strut more travel to move up and down. For years I had tried to get these made for Maximas but no one wants to make the investment as there is no profit to be made on this platform. That said I would not recomend Koni yellows and GCs with a 2.5" drop even with extended suspension travel. That is to low of a drop for this combo and the setup will have little to no travel left over and be harsh on every bump.

If you are doing this for looks go with a set of aftermarket coilovers. They are made to take a bigger drop than the GC/Koni setup.

For handling a set of propely valved Koni yellows and GCs with a slight drop is a decent combo. I probably have the most modified set of Koni/GCs on this forum and if I had to do it all over I wouldn't take the same route.

The 1st gen Altima top hats gave more suspension travel in the front on the 3rd gens. See if you can measure the difference for what your working with.
