So I asked for a hu for Christmas from my gf, but didn't get it. Instead I got a best but gift card for me to pick the one I want. I know there's things out there being able to mirror your phone or Bluetooth streaming etc. honestly I want someone's first hand knowledge of what they use and how compatible there iphone is, thanks guys

Ps I don't want to waste my money on some crap and go thru the trouble of installing it if it don't work

I prefer Pioneer myself (but their customer service can be a pain). Unfortunately I dont have first hand knowledge of the iPhone 5, but I can tell you most recent model receivers will mirror controls just fine via Bluetooth. I use an android phone (galaxy s2) with a single din pioneer 80prs.
