Why dont we have a light underneath the hood that comes on when we pop the hood open. This would be nice since most time I go out at night then people wanna see under my hood & theres NO LIGHT???

What do you expect for $27K? These cars have gotten progressively cheaper while the cost has gone up. We are primarily paying for the "great"
VQ whatever engine.
You want good paint, thicker windows, well engineered suspension, etc, buy German and pay $10k more.

Thats because we drive nissans... if we drove fords, we would need that light, because driving a ford means that if you wanna go out at night, you have to work on the engine - Just like if you wanna go to the store to get groceries, you have to work on the engine first. This is why there is no need to install one on our nissans I hear they are installing beer-can holders in the engine bays of the newer mustangs

Gas struts rule!!! But the only thing is sometimes when I open my friends' hoods, I almost forget to check if it has the bar. I almost drop the hood once

Get lighted washer nozzles, drill holes, and mount them upside down. You also get the benefit of an instant engine detail everytime you go to wash the windshield.

I will say one nice thing about one particular ford, so dont flame me...

Go for a ride in a Windstar, then go for a ride in a Quest. You will be embarrased that the Quest is in the same family as the Maxima.

I am convinced that Windstar is the only reason Ford lost $5 billion instead of $10 billion...

Few years ago I owned a '88 Jeep Cherokee. Under the hood there was a ligth with a 4' extension cord !!!! At first it sound stupid, but I found it very usefull under some rough conditions. And yes, why not add a set of neon spray nozzle right under the hood? (no need to drill !!!!)

I paid $20k for my 2001 in September...and I'm just glad to have the 222hp and 5-speed! As we all can agree, there isn't a whole lot on the Maxima that we're happy with STOCK...for me, an underhood light would be the first thing to get upgraded!
