Noob here need help!

So I just picked up my 99 maxima se 5mt 191k and when I close my hood not too hard the headlights dim and sometimes my drivers side goes out completely other times fogs don't work help?

Check all the connections for corrosion, also check the grounds.

if you are doing that.. just take the time and clean up all the grounds/connections. At 191 they probably need it.

it would be a great investment to get the grounding kit that is made/sold on here. Solve all your problems/decent upgrade/cheap.

Forget the grounding kit. IMHO, it is much better to clean up existing grounds and avoid having a huge mess of wires under the Hood as well as the confusion it may cause other mechanics when diagnosing future problems, since your wiring would no longer be stock.

Right ON. No need for grounding kits. Similar sort of idea to "oxygen free loudspeaker cables"

Agreed. or check for loose connection at bulb. Wiggle the wire while the headlight is on. In fact, wiggle all connections related to your HID kit while the headlight is on. You'll probably find the culprit.

Check ballast connections & or replace ballasts. My fogs also sometimes did not work check connection to the wire harness for the fogs
