I think the bezel I'm looking for is out of the gxe? I want to put another radio in the car but hate the aftermarket bezels. I'm willing to trade for my good Bose radio.

 

You get this swap then you are extremely lucky, GXE radio bezels go for around $100 used. Best of luck.

I looked at the OEM ventilator assembly as well. Dont know if I wanna cough up $130 bucks for a new one. Ordered one at Best Buy made by Metra, not the black one, but the silver colored version. Not sure how close of a match its gonna be, guess I'll see come the 27th. It was only $13 and I plan on hacking it up anyway.

 

Let me know what you think of that one. I seen it but didn't know if the silver would look good or not

Still waiting for BB to call to let me know the dash kit has arrived. I woulda been better off ordering the damn thing myself, probably would've gotten it sooner.

 

Went to pickup my dash kit, got it out to the car and opened the bag.......already broke. I took it back in and returned it. The color was a nice match tho.

 

What color did it match was it the black or the pewter color?

I can't find a pic but it looks like a screen could fit perfectly inside of it. The bezel just fits all around

 

No, I didnt get another one. I was gonna attempt to put in a BOSE deck from an '06 Altima into my '01 Maxima but the Altima deck is a touch taller and wider. I was gonna cut the Metra kit anyway. After taking several measurements, I realized its not possible to cut the kit to fit. There would only be 1/16" left and I would need to divide that in half to accomodate the top and bottom.

 

Lol that would be like what 1/64 on too and bottom haha ya that's not gonna work. I'm thinking now ima hook my sub up to my stock radio it's just such a clean look compared to these aftermarket ones out there
