Heated Seats Question

Hi, I recently purchased heated seats from a 2003 Maxima to put into my 2000 Maxima. The 2000 Maxima did not have heated seats originally. Can anyone tell me where the heated seat switches go? and if this car is typically prewired for heated seats? Lastly, on the connections, I have two connections at the floor, but only one that I can see at the seats. Is the second plug for heated seats?

Thanks, much appreciated.

Thanks Stuntman, I have the switches in now. I get power to one switch. No power to the other, or at least no light at the switch. I need to test that one. On the heated seats and underneath, is there another plug that should be connected? any idea how I can verify that the seats are indeed heated? When I turn the working switch on, I get no heat at the seat.

Much Appreciated..

The power comes from one fuse and the wire splits to go to both switches, so just swap the 2 switches and see what happens with the light.

There is a separate (or additional) plug for the seat heaters that has 3 wires in it. It is probably hiding under the carpet in the metal channel that across the car under the front edge of the seat. Similarly there should be a connector on the seat for this.

The heating pads in the seats are either good or no good. Yours have crossed over the line to the no good side. All you can do is make sure that there is 12 to 14 volts at the seat connector. If the voltage is good, then the heating pad is going bad, probably the built in thermal sensor.
