Bad Rear wheel hub/bearing

Hey guys... Had some Nasty sounds from the back end lately, found dangerous amount of play in my driver side rear hub assembly, but the strange thing is the humming wheel sounds like it is the passenger rear wheel... Even though that bearing checks out 100%... Idk if im hearing wrong, or if the sound is echoing through the cabin.. So my question is, with a bad left rear bearing, can the right side make a sound? Or i may just be hearing it all wrong. Guess i wont know till the new hub is put in, but any pointers would be cool

Change out the bad bearing and let's see what happens.

Always keep in mind ... this is an art, not a science.

While we're on the topic of wheel bearings the weather got cold and icy here a couple months ago and and since then what sounds like my rear passenger side has started having an intermittent clicking noise. The speed of the clicking increases and decreases with speed and I've only noticed it when it's cold out. However it does it for varying amounts of time before it stops. I was wondering if this could be a bearing or hub issue.

Makes sense, I replaced pads and rotors last summer. Everything was quiet until weather got cold and wet.
