Golly Jeepers Paint Is Expensive ...

I bought a rear window spoiler for $50.00.

Guess how much it's costing to skim coat, prime and paint it?

$130.00.

Sheesh ...

Paint isn't expensive. The process of painting, on the other hand, is very expensive.

I'm all about DIY, but I've never seen anyone DIY paint job and it not look like ****. I would not recommend anyone to do it.

$130 isn't bad actually. Some places it's a flat $180. When I needed my bumper painted once for a scratch someone did, it was quoted at around 400 for the factory Pearl White match. I decided to just have them paint the whole thing White, no pearl...for under $800. Can't tell the difference.

Moral of story: re-painting the whole car was a better deal.

I've used the Dupli Color Perfect Match paint on bumpers and a grille. If you know how to paint, it can turn out very nice. If you dont, it, well... doesn't. Lol. Mine turned out nice. Even a professional painter said it looked really good. So don't dis the paint when it's the person using it that's the problem. Haha.
